To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a strong fit for the Talent Acquisition and Social Media Specialist opportunity, you will have:
  • 2-4 years exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience in full life-cycle environment, including management of multiple high-volume roles simultaneously
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent; college coursework, ideally resulting in an associate's or bachelor's degree, is an advantage
  • Experience in the Logistics, Supply Chain or another relevant industry, ideally including driver recruiting
  • A passion for and knowledge of social media with some experience posting content, such as on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. Quick question for you - click here
  • Strong computer skills including:
    • Microsoft Office programs (Word and Intermediate Excel skills)
    • Social media and digital marketing tools or the ability to learn them (you can influence which social media tools we'll use)
  • Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space
  • Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills
  • Ability to travel locally approximately 50%, and to other geographies approximately once per quarter, including an occasional overnight

Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, as Talent Acquisition and Social Media Specialist, you will take ownership of a hybrid role responsible for high-volume recruiting as well as maintaining a strong online presence to promote HR-generated social media outreach to increase employee engagement. You will spend the majority of your time -- up to 70% -- on full-cycle recruiting, focusing on CDL drivers and non-exempt, entry-level up to exempt site management-level roles. You will impact recruiting strategy by identifying current and future hiring needs and channels for drawing talent, and complete essential tactical work from job description generation to sourcing, to interviewing and HM support. 

The other 30% will be spent creating and maintaining a strong online presence by gathering and/or creating appealing and creative content for our company across various social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and the Company Blog. Talent Acquisition
  • Design job descriptions, source candidates through various databases and social medial platforms, conduct interviews, and stay abreast of new employment law legislation.
  • Apply new and current techniques and develop recruitment programs to attract applicants and to fill specific openings.
  • Creatively source and develop a pool of qualified applicants through a variety of advertising techniques including social media, direct sourcing, internet searches, job fairs, and other channels.
  • Achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates, interviewing job applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, advising managers, and managing relocations and the intern program.
  • Establish recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives, studying job descriptions and qualifications, and meeting with managers to discuss needs.
  • Remain up-to-date on the requirements of the various positions in the company and will act as an advocate for new and established employees.
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing information regarding the organization, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and building maintaining rapport.
  • Attract applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting recruiters, and using newsgroups and job sites.
  • Arrange management interviews by coordinating schedules, arranging travel, lodging, and meals, and escorting applicants to interviews.
