Requirements
To be a strong fit for the Operations Supervisor opportunity, you will have:

- 3+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent; college coursework, ideally resulting in an associate's or bachelor's degree, is an advantage
- Skill in influencing all the daily activities of the warehouse including accountability for cost controls
- Ability to schedule warehouse activities and meet demands (i.e. effective use of the workforce, shipping products, responding to urgent situations, etc.)
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (intermediate Word and Excel); experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) software is preferred, ideally Synapse

The Role
Role OverviewReporting to the Operations Manager, as Operations Supervisor, you will serve as a first-shift opening supervisor and be responsible for directly managing three leads overseeing approximately 24 temporary and permanent warehouse associates daily, or as a second-shift supervisor managing leads overseeing 12+ associates. You will also be the primary leader for the warehouse staff when the manager is not available. Your mission will be to monitor, motivate and coach the team daily in order to deliver top-notch service and meet budget, productivity, quality and safety metrics. You will manage to a determined baseline, reviewing daily scheduling, productivity metrics and other data, and actively work to develop the leads in order to build strong bench strength within the facility.
Role Details
You will arrive before the first shift crew arrives at 6:00 AM in order to open the building and prepare for the day or before the second shift arrives so there is overlap. Each day, you'll review safety procedures and data and labor plans to ensure warehouse associates are scheduled and placed for optimal effectiveness. Specifically, in performing your role, you will:
- Review safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment for employees and visitors is maintained in all areas and at all times; maintain an unwavering commitment to safety
- Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, including managing work schedules / assignments, setting clear performance standards, delivering feedback, and coaching warehouse associates in all aspects of job performance
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and implement continuous improvement plans as directed and appropriate. These could include new process solutions, policies, delivery of training, improvements in job safety, etc.
- Identify coaching / training needs, ensuring that each employee under your care or that of the leads has the needed knowledge and skills to provide best-in-class service
- Ensure departmental quality and productivity standards are met or exceeded through monitoring, mentoring, training, performance management and recognition

The Fontana WarehouseYou'll work in our Fontana Warehouse (pictured). Built in 2006, it's a secure building (DVR cameras inside and out and 24/7 motion sensors) delivering 303,000 square feet of storage and 32-foot ceilings. Temperatures range from 45 - 95 degrees. We handle health products, apparel, accessories, baby products, consumer electronics accessories and soft-sided consumer durables. We also offer a wide range of value-added services including rework projects, re-labeling, master pack and retail display builds, UPC removal and/ or additions repackaging, and quality inspections.
